Call for Submissions – Our First Annual Winter Market!
Join us as we turn our Butterfly Studio into a seasonal pop-up shop and gallery!
We are seeking submissions from artists and makers for this festive, curated marketplace. This is an opportunity to showcase your work this December in a warm, welcoming setting that celebrates craftsmanship and creativity.
How It Works:
You don’t have to be here in person. This is a consignment opportunity—our team will curate and display your work in the studio gallery and promote it online.
All displays will be thoughtfully curated by our staff to create a cohesive, inspiring shopping experience. Artists may apply for one of the following equivalent display sizes: 6 ft Table or 3 ft Shelf
Sales will be handled by our staff from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Thursdays–Sundays, December 5–21. 60% of retail prices goes to the artists and 40% goes to Maine Clay
The images you submit do not need to be the exact pieces you are showing, but please accurately represent what you plan to bring
Email 3-5 images of your work with titles ex: “Leach.Bernard.mugs”, along with a brief artist statement to consign@maineclay.org

Notification of Acceptance: by September 30
Drop off work: December 1-2
Opening Wine & Cheese Party: December 4
Open to the Public: Thursdays–Sundays, December 5–21
We encourage ALL to apply! This is a space for both professional ceramic artists to display their work, and those just getting started to dip their toe into selling their wares. We are accepting functional and sculptural work, utilitarian and decorative as well as work in other mediums. Show us your creations!
We can’t wait to share your work with a community that values shopping locally, celebrates its artists and seeks out high quality, handmade gifts.
