PUBLIC EVENTS

We host and participate in events throughout the year, creating space for connection, curiosity, and hands in clay.

We regularly take part in Portland’s First Friday with a free drop-in event we call Clay Play—no work is kept, just an open invitation to get your hands dirty, try the studio, and see if clay is a good fit for you. (It’s always a good idea to confirm we’re participating before stopping by)

We also open our doors for the Maine Pottery Tour each spring, and host occasional workshops, fundraisers, and seasonal one-day offerings throughout the year.

PRIVATE PARTIES

We offer two-hour private pottery parties for groups of 8 to 20 people, whether you're celebrating something special or simply getting together.

We begin with a guided, make-and-break experience on the potter's wheel. Nothing made during this part of the party is kept, and that's part of the beauty of it. Without the pressure to produce a finished piece, you're free to experiment, test the limits of the clay, follow your curiosity, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with your hands.

Then we'll move on to decorating a cup made in-house by one of our studio potters. Guests use colorful underglazes to make their cups their own, and we'll apply a clear glaze and fire them. Finished cups are ready in just a few days, available for pickup at the studio or shipping at your expense.

Parties are $65 per person, with a 50% deposit required to reserve your date. We're usually able to accommodate parties on weekends, and occasionally on weekdays, depending on the season.
